The Look
The Unthank Arms is a traditional yet modern pub. It looks well cared for, light and clean. There are a variety of places to sit; by the bar, in front of the wood burning stove (which is lit whenever it’s cold enough), around the corner is the more secluded dining area which has a bistro feel, and upstairs in there is the dining room. Here the tables are well spaced and nicely laid and there is a small bar. Outside, there are tables to the front of the pub, and a large beer garden, which has an outside bar and covered area too.

The Drinks
There is a good selection of local real ales, premium lagers and over 40 wines. Freshly ground fair trade coffee and the lovely Bottle Green soft drinks are also available.

The Food
The same food is served in the bar and upstairs in the restaurant, which can be hired out for functions. Breakfasts are served Saturday and Sunday 10am - 12pm and are also available during the week by arrangement. During the summer there is a barbeque menu and hog roast available for special occasions.

The Entertainment
The Unthank Arms is not a pub which has fruit machines and jukeboxes. The emphasis is much more on socialising and dining. It is not dominated by televisions or sporting events, there is only one TV and only terrestrial channels are shown on that.

The Pub Teams
The Unthank Arms has a Saturday league football team.

The Regular Events
The Unthank Arms holds an annual Comedy Festival during the summer. Previous events been backed by The Comedy Store, and have taken place in a marquee in the pub's beer garden; barbecue food and an outside bar were available. Check the website for further details nearer the time.
