The Look
The Farmhouse looks like a typical British pub: dark wood wall panelling, some brick walls and dark wood floors. This traditional look means it looks welcoming - a place where anyone could feel at home. There's a nice fireplace in the pool and darts area, the conservatory, which serves as the restaurant is bright and clean and the furniture is your typical pub tables and chairs. The outside is clean and nicely presented, there is a nice children's play area, and the beer garden is ok, if you don't mind the sound of traffic from Colman Road.

The Drinks
There is the usual selection of beers, wines and spirit, plus several real ales, which change seasonally. For example you will find Hobgoblin at Halloween. There is also the local Aspalls cider on draught.

The Food
The same food is served both in the bar and in the restaurant. The menu is what you expect for pub food, with lots to choose from: starters, mains and desserts, some vegetarian options, a children's menu and the usual bar snacks such as burgers, jacket potatoes and baguettes. As well as the soup of the day, you will also find a curry of the day, too. Curry seems to be a theme; there is also a weekly curry night on Thursdays.

2 meals for £8 Sunday to Thursday, 4pm until 8pm, from a selected menu.

The Entertainment
There is every kind of pub entertainment you could wish for. Fruit and quiz machines, a projector TV, a jukebox, a dartboard, and a pool table - I don't think they've missed anything there.

The Pub Teams
On Monday there's men's darts, Wednesday the women's dart and there is also a Sunday league football team.

Friday and Saturday there is often live music
