The Look
The Eaton Cottage is your traditional local. When you think what a 'proper' pub should look like, this is the image you will conjure up. It is neither showy nor pretentious, feeling loved and well worn by its faithful regulars. All are welcome, including dogs, for which they keep a tub of treats behind the counter. It is informal and relaxing, the staff friendly and welcoming, and a great place if you are looking to enjoy a good drink without the frills. There place is full of greenery both inside and out, the beer garden out front is a nice spot to watch the world go by.

The Drinks
As well as the usual selection of lagers and wines and a good selection of spirits, there are 7 real ales, 4 of which are guest ales which change with every barrel change - surely something for every drinker after a proper pint.

The Food
The Eaton Cottage is about the drink, food is not offered. Though I am told you might sometimes find a cheese roll on offer. There's a selection of typical snacks; crisps and nuts, and of course a pickled egg to go with your pint!

The Entertainment
There is plenty of entertainment in the form of fruit and quiz machines, and they show plenty of live sporting fixtures on the selection of 5 televisions (there is even one pointing out to the beer garden at the front) so you're guaranteed to be able to catch your game as they have both Sky and ESPN and two sky boxes so even games which clash can be caught.

The Pub Teams
The Sunday football team is called DCS Rapid, and I'm told they are doing rather well.

The Regular Events
Lee Vasey has been playing at the Eaton Cottage on Thursday nights for 21 years, and other live bands often play too. All major sporting fixtures are shown.
