Environmental Health officers from City Hall are likely to take enforcement action against landlords at the Earlham House shopping centre on Earlham Road. They have been told to fill potholes in the car parks and to clear away rubbish left by fly tippers.

The city council has also said that improvements are needed to the flats above the shops, after an inspection last November revealed them to be excessively cold. Some of the homes were rated as a "category one" hazard likely to create a serious risk to health.
